What was the Siege of Amida(502-503 AD)?

The Siege of Amida(502-503 AD) was part of the Anastasian War of 502-506 AD. Kavad I had a few motives to restart the war against the Eastern Roman Empire after about sixty years of peace. Also, the siege showed the Persian style of siege warfare and the religious views from primary sources.
