An Album A Day Keeps The Doctor Away

Music touches each and every one of us in different ways. I truly believe that listening to music is beneficial to our mental and emotional health, which ultimately effects our physical health. Iā€™m a first grade teacher who loves to infuse music into my classroom. My blog is about music in my classroom as well as listening to at least one vinyl album a day after work. Iā€™m hoping that with my students and me listening to music daily, we will be well mentally, emotionally, and physically.

I’m so glad to hear you are introducing these kids to GOOD music. What a shame if they grow up only hearing the noise from today’s “artists.” There are still some good musicians out there writing music right now, but I’m not sure their music is finding its way to our children’s ears. So we might as well keep introducing them to the classics. Although, my kids would argue I think way too many songs are “classic.” šŸ˜‰
    Keep up the good work!

Thank you! Yes, we have to keep the classics alive! (although it scares me that songs from the 90s are playing on some “classics” stations lol)

Agreed! Just heard “Bittersweet” by Big Head Todd and the Monsters, one of my all-time favorite songs, on an “oldies” playlist on Spotify. In that moment, I almost gave up music for good šŸ˜‰
