Taking it back
So, I guess you could say I have mixed feelings about Christmas. Notwithstanding, in the essence of childlike faith, I’ve realized that I’ve allowed the idea and practice of Christmas to be shaped, molded, and defined by on an onslaught of illegitimate thoughts and feelings rooted in the cirrhosis of past trauma, instead of choosing to supplant that which had been perverted with the light and truth that God always intended it to offer to all who choose to take solace in the miracle of Christmas. All identities are rooted in something friends, but the part we play in choosing the etymology and evolution of such things is crucial to our redemption story.Â

This is so insightful, and it resonates deeply! “onslaught of illegitimate thoughts and feelings rooted in the cirrhosis of past trauma”
This is so true, yet so many are unaware “All identities are rooted in something friends, but the part we play in choosing the etymology and evolution of such things is crucial to our redemption story. “
