Death of Emperor Hadrian

#OnThisDay: The Roman Emperor Hadrian died on July 10, 138 AD. He ruled from 117-138 AD and was the cousin of his predecessor Trajan. He gave up the conquests from Trajan, except for keeping a part of Dacia. He focused on defensive fortifications, and the most notable was Hadrian’s Wall. He traveled the empire and took a hands-on role in improving it.
