Quinoatmeal
I know. My title for this dish lacks in creativity, but I would argue that it is the perfect title for my latest concoction. I love oatmeal. And although it’s not bad for you if consumed in moderation, it’s definitely not as good for you as quinoa. So, when I found this recipe satisfied my appetite for a bowl of oats, and it was healthier, the title was too perfect not to use.
I guess you could say they’re more like grits. I am not from the South. And even if I were, I wouldn’t pretend that this stuff even comes close to the real thing. My husband repeatedly reminds me of the perils of putting healthy impostor dishes in front of him, claiming they are just as good as the original. This dish will be no different.
