Maybe We’ll Just Keep Doing This Homeschooling Thing
Before being forced to take on many of our kids’ schooling responsibilities, my wife and I never would have thought it possible to do so while still working. We were both blessed to keep our jobs and for that we are so thankful. But we were also given another opportunity we never would have dreamed of embracing. We were literally forced to take a hard look at this potential new approach to education. Although we were mostly happy with the district our children attended, we did still find many occasions where we strongly disagreed school leadership. Add to that what seems to be the union’s unwillingness to get our kids back in-person, and this whole homeschooling thing may just have to be a permanent move. Either that, or find a private school somewhere that we can afford. I just know that we’re done with public education. That is for sure.Â
