Why circuit boards are usually green
Green is more convenient for pcb production
Compared with other colors, the green series has better characteristics, especially the green plug hole characteristics. It may be better to realize the plug hole in the IC Test Board design. Basically, there will be plug holes, hundreds to thousands of them. Combined with the taiyo ink characteristics table, it is also clear why green can be made with high precision, which is also determined by the characteristics of green.
Green PCB is cheaper
For a purchaser, it is his job to reduce costs. Since green is the mainstream color in the production process, the purchase amount of natural green paint will be larger, and it can be concluded that the purchase cost of green paint will be lower than other colors. At the same time, the use of the same color paint in mass production can reduce the replacement cost. The pcb manufacturer defaults to green ink, and changing to other colors needs to increase the cost.
The characteristics of green pcb
1. In pcb processing, the production of electronic products includes board making and post filming. During the process, there are several processes to go through the yellow light room, and the green PCB board has the best visual effect in the yellow light room;
2. Secondly, in the SMT patch processing, the steps of tinning, patching and AOI verification all require optical positioning calibration, and the green bottom plate is more friendly when it is recognized by the instrument;
3. Part of the inspection process relies on manual observation. Keep staring at the board under strong light. The green visual effect is better and it will not cause visual fatigue.
4. Green PCBs are also more environmentally friendly. When discarded boards are recycled at high temperatures, they will not release toxic gases.
The influence of other colors on pcb
Black, purple, and blue lights, and the color of the PCB substrate is too dark, which will increase the difficulty of inspection and maintenance of the motherboard, and the process is not easy to control.
Taking the black board as an example, the black board is most likely to be due to process and raw material ratio problems in PCB production. A little carelessness will cause obvious chromatic aberration and result in a high PCB defect rate. The trace of the black circuit board is not easy to distinguish, which will increase the difficulty for later maintenance and debugging.
